Is there anything that’s “eating you”, or is there anything that you find yourself complaining about lately?
Because if you are complaining a lot lately; it might be good to heed the advice of Zig Ziglar above.
Now don’t get me wrong. Sometimes life can feel overwhelming and you need to “complain”, or express your frustration to ease the pain and suffering.
The point here, however, is that you don’t want to complain about your problems to the degree that it becomes your focus.
Because if complaining is your focus, your mind will imagine and sort of, conjure up problems that aren’t actually there.
What do I mean by this, exactly?
Let’s say you’re experiencing a bunch of back pain, and your focus is so heavily on the pain that you cannot stop complaining about it.
Well, before too long, that back pain turns into a headache as well because you cannot stop thinking about it!
Or here’s another example. Say the temperature outside is in the 90s, or worse, in the 100s. You can’t stop thinking about it, so now you’re talking (complaining) about it.
So you can’t stop thinking about now because you’re talking/complaining about it! Then it feels even hotter because that’s your FOCUS!
See how that works? Interesting, isn’t?
