On February 7th, 2013, at the U.S. National Prayer Breakfast, Dr. Benjamin Carson made this all-true statement. Here is a great YouTube video that highlights some of who Dr. Ben Carson is in case you didn’t know already:
Dr. Ben Carson was raised in extreme poverty, without a father and was failing in Elementary School. His Mother prayed, earnestly, for him and his several other siblings and made them read a lot and do book reports. Funny thing is, she was illiterate, so she had to pretend to grade the book reports. Her children didn’t find this out until many years later. LOL.
Dr. Carson attended Yale, the University of Michigan, and was Direct of Pediatric Neuro-surgery at Johns Hopkins University and received over 50 honorary doctorates. He is considered by many to be the best neuro-surgeon in the world.
All that to say, how about we all learn to focus on helping other people?
Because it doesn’t matter how “smart” we are.
Dr. Carson is one of the most intelligent and wise people in the world, and if he says I should be helping other people. Then who am I to argue with that?!Here is the YouTube Video of Dr. Carson’s famous speech alluded to above that he gave at the U.S. National Prayer Breakfast in 2013 (he’s also really funny in many parts):
